Magnesia bricks
LONGKETER supplying a comprehensive range of FIRED MAG BRICKS
Producing process:Use high quality sintered or fused magnesia as raw material, shaped and then fired under high temperature. With great high temperature performance, high strength, high erosion resistance and wear-proof resistance, high thermal shock resistance.
Application: Permanent linings of converter, ladles, EAF etc. Working lining of lime kilns, chamber bricks for glass kilns etc.
Magnesia series bricks are also called basic bricks. The main content is MgO and main raw materials including dead burnt magnesia or fused magnesia.
Basic bricks here including magnesia fire bricks/magnesite bricks, magnesia carbon bricks, magnesia chrome bricks, magnesia spinel bricks and magnesia dolomite bricks/magnesia calcium bricks.
Producing process: Raw material Grinding---batching-- Shaped with hydraulic press-- fired in 1700C tunnel kiln--inspection and packaging in warehouse
Basic bricks are widely used in Iron and steel industry, non-ferrous industry, working linings of cement rotary kilns, glass furnaces, lime furnace etc.
Properties:
High hot strength and super resistance to basic foreign substance, steel mill slag, Alkaline Oxide. Good for thermal spalling abrasion and liquid metal penetration resistance
High melting point, high thermal conductivity and heat storage capacity. Used in heat storage and preheater plants
Good volume stability and low porosity
Thermal shock resistance and hydrated resistance of basic bricks are weak. So basic bricks are generally used to stable temperature zone and when packed, water-proof package are necessary.Besides, we advise the bricks are used as soon as possible, storing time could be 6-12 months at most.
